REGISTRATION
- UNTIL WHEN CAN I REGISTER ?
Online from December 1, 2022 to September 10, 2023. As the number of bibs is limited per race, we advise you to register as soon as possible. On-site registrations will be very limited and strictly limited to the number of places still available.
- WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION ?
The registration fee includes participation in the event, refreshments and services at the bases of life, rescue, welcome gift and the finisher’s prize.
- DO YOU NEED A CERTIFICATE ?
Yes, the certificate is mandatory for all races. It must be less than one year old at the time of the test. The FFA licenses are also accepted, with a vigilance related to the date of the race. Licenses must be renewed for the 2023/2024 season.
- HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM REGISTERED ?
When you register you should receive a confirmation email to the email address you provided when you registered. Keep this email as it will allow you to return to your runner’s file. If you do not receive this email from the registration platform you can contact us at grandtrailserreponcon@gmail.com. Most of the time, the error comes from a wrong entry of your email address during the registration.
- IS IT POSSIBLE TO CONSULT THE LIST OF REGISTRANTS ?
No, but you can check your registration from your runner’s card by following the link indexed on the confirmation email you received when you registered.
- WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO PARTICIPATE ?
All events are open from the Espoir category. The 18km is open to juniors.
- WE WOULD LIKE TO ADD A RUNNER TO OUR TEAM OF 2 ON THE BIG TRAIL, IS IT POSSIBLE ?
Yes it is possible, directly on the site with your names and your codes transmitted to the registration for the modification of the team.
- WE ARE A TEAM OF 3, ONE RUNNER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RUN THE DAY OF THE EVENT, CAN WE PARTICIPATE IN 2 ?
Yes it is possible, directly on the site with your names and your codes transmitted at the time of the inscription to refer you in a new team of 2.
- WE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A CHANGE OF TEAMMATE IN OUR TEAM, IS IT POSSIBLE ?
Yes it is possible, directly on the site with your names and your codes transmitted to the registration for the modification of the team.
RACES
- CAN THE GRAND TRAIL TEAM BE DONE IN RELAY?
No, the teams of 2 or 3 are inseparable from the start to the finish.
- IF ONE OF MY TEAMMATES DROPS OUT, CAN I CONTINUE THE RACE ?
Yes it is possible, if you are a team of 3. In duo, if one of the team members gives up, the second one will be able to finish the race, without claiming an individual or team classification.
- WHAT IS A LIFE BASE ON THE GRAND TRAIL EVENT?
You will find the following services : Solid and liquid supplies, medical assistance, free assistance area, rest area equipped with beds and sanitary facilities.
- SHOULD WE NECESSARILY STOP AT THE BASES OF LIFE?
No, no mandatory stopping time is imposed in order to allow the fluidity of the passages inside the life bases.
- ARE STICKS ALLOWED ?
Yes, on all events. However, they must be folded and/or stored at the start until the first kilometer.
- IS THERE A LIST OF MANDATORY MATERIALS?
Yes. You can consult the list of mandatory equipment in the settlement.
For the 18km Trail, no equipment is required but we advise you to bring equipment appropriate to the weather conditions.
- WHAT ARE THE SUPPLIES MADE OF?
The events will have (in addition to the life bases) light refreshments, in solids and liquids, adapted to the climatic conditions noted, and which will be specified later.
- ARE THERE ANY TIME BARRIERS ON THE EVENTS?
Yes, the time limits and barriers are available on the site and for each race. The final details will be included in the Road Book published by September1, 2023.
- WHAT TIME IS THE AWARD CEREMONY?
The times and conditions of prize-giving for all races will be specified in the Road Book published on September1, 2023 at the latest.
ACCOMPANIONS
- CAN WE SEE THE RUNNERS ON THE COURSE ?
Yes, the 2023 road-book will be put online on September1st 2023 at the latest, specifying the spectator accesses. A display dedicated to the advice to see the runners will also be available on the site of withdrawal of the numbers at the water level of Embrun.
- IS ASSISTANCE ALLOWED ?
The assistance of an external person, identified by a badge given with the numbers, is allowed in the areas provided for this purpose and specified in the Road Book 2023.
DOSSARDS
- WHERE DO I PICK UP MY NUMBER ?
At the beach of the lake of embrun on the dedicated site from Thursday, September 14th at 3 pm depending on the chosen race.
- I WILL NOT BE PRESENT TO COLLECT MY NUMBER, CAN SOMEONE ELSE COLLECT IT FOR ME ?
No, the presence of each competitor is mandatory with his photo ID.
- IF I CAN’T PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT I REGISTERED FOR, CAN I TRANSFER MY NUMBER ?
You can resell your race number by following the instructions on the registration platform. Concerning the Great Trail in team, the modifications of team are possible on the platform of registration. For teams of 3, if a teammate cannot run on the day, you can still start as a team of 2.
LOGISTICS
- ARE THERE SHIPS FOR THE 74KM, 49KM, 28KM AND 18KM, WHERE THE START PLACE IS NOT THE SAME AS THE FINISH?
A shuttle bus will be available for the runners upon reservation at the registration, starting from the Embrun lake, next to the mini-golf, according to the schedule indicated on the program and on the Road Book. The shuttles are mandatory for the Rendez-Vous in unknown trail, the starting site not being known by the participants.
